Parents and students,

Welcome to Mr. Young’s 3rd Grade Class where “The Road To Success Is Always Under Construction!”  I am excited to be part of your child’s academic journey.  I am looking forward to partnering with you to make this a successful year for your child!

This will be my 12th year teaching 3rd graders.  I love 3rd graders and seeing them grow in their academics and in their character.  I grew up near Sedalia, MO, and went to school in a little town called Cole Camp.  I attended State Fair Community College where I received my A.A. then transferred to UMKC to complete my B.A. in Elementary Education.  I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Administration from Park University.  This September I will be married to Sarah, the most beautiful red head in the world, for 10 years.  We have 4 extremely adorable red-headed girls named Coralyn, Kellah, Kyiah, and Craedyn.  When I’m not here at school, I enjoy being "daddy", traveling, camping, hiking, playing sports, and being involved with our church.

We have a lot of exciting learning opportunities planned this year.  In order for your child to have a successful year, I need your help.  I am looking forward to communicating and working with you this year!  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please get in contact with me.  Looking forward to a great year!!!
